Clarke Ingram has spent more than three decades in radio, nearly half of that in his hometown of Pittsburgh, including a stint as Program Director and afternoon drive air personality at WJJJ-FM (104.7 The Beat), having joined that station after five years as Operations Manager/Program Director of WPXY-FM (98 PXY) in Rochester, New York. He has also served as Operations Manager of KZZP-AM/FM in Phoenix, and as Program Director of WBZZ-FM (B-94) in Pittsburgh, but is best remembered for his achievements as Program Director of KRQQ-FM (KRQ) in Tucson, Arizona, where he created the highest-rated Top 40 radio station in the nation, and as a highly-rated air personality at WBZZ-FM (B-94) in Pittsburgh, where he once beat powerhouse KDKA in the ratings. Ingram also has worked as an on-air personality at WWSW-FM (3WS) in Pittsburgh, WHTZ-FM (Z-100) in New York City, and WEGX-FM (Eagle 106) in Philadelphia, among other stations. He has been honored on three occasions as Program Director of the Year by the Gavin Seminar for Media Professionals and Bobby Poe's Pop Music Survey, and has been an industry award nominee on numerous other occasions, along with his radio stations. In 1995, Ingram was voted one of the "40 Best Top 40 DJ's Of All Time" by the readers of Decalcomania, a radio enthusiasts' magazine, and in 2000, he was honored as one of radio's "Legends Of The Airwaves" at The Conclave, an annual radio seminar in Minneapolis. In 2008, his 30th anniversary year, Ingram was recognized by his peers by being voted into the radio "Hall of Fame" established by industry trade publication FMQB. He currently is with Broadcast Communications Inc. in Pittsburgh, which owns four radio stations in Southwestern Pennsylvania, two of them in the Pittsburgh area.
